2025 Nutmeg State Games Skill Level/Age Group Pickleball Tournament
A QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT FOR THE PPA AMATEUR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN DALLAS AND THE STATE GAMES OF AMERICA IN STATE COLLEGE, PENNSYLVANIA
- Women's Doubles, Men's Singles and Men's Skinny Singles will be held on Friday, June 27th
- Mixed Doubles will be held on Saturday, June 28th
- Men's Doubles, Women's Singles and Women's Skinny Singles will be held on Sunday, June 29th.
This tournament is also a qualifying event for the 2026 State Games of America pickleball tournament which will be held in State College, Pennsylvania from July 28th through August 2nd, 2026 The top three finishers in each event will qualify. Players who qualify in one event are eligible to play in all three events at the State Games of America. Note: Skinny Singles is not a State Games of America qualifying event.
Registration is open to players age 10 and above.
Registration is by skill level. Skill levels with a large number of teams or players will by split into smaller playing brackets. Playing brackets may be configured by age and/or calculated tournament player rating.
Skill levels are 3.0 and under, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0+
The DUPR rating will be used for bracket placement. For players without a DUPR rating, their self rating will be used.
Please seek the advice of an experienced fellow player when self rating.
Ratings will be updated on June 6, 2025, one week prior to the close of registration. Players and teams may be moved to a higher skill level bracket on that date based on updated tournament ratings.

For a guaranteed spot in the tournament in doubles or mixed doubles, the second partner must register within FIVE days of the first partner's registration. Teams that are incomplete after FIVE days will be moved to the waiting list. Once the second partner registers, the team will be entered into the event IF THERE IS STILL ROOM IN THE EVENT AND THE TOURNAMENT AND REGISTRATION IS STILL OPEN. PLAYERS WITHOUT PARTNERS AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES WILL BE MOVED TO THE WAITING LIST. Daily and Team limits on events may be set as registration progresses. Register early for a guaranteed spot.
The tournament director reserves the right to move players and teams to appropriate skill levels. Groups may be combined or split at the discretion of the tournament director.

Each day will begin at 8:00 AM. Specific start times for events will be emailed and texted to players approximately one week prior to the tournament.
The tournament format is round robin for all events. Events with a large number of teams may be split into round robin pools followed by a playoff for the top teams in each pool.
The tournament reserves the right to modify the bracket format and number of rounds to comply with the guaranteed number of games per event.
Registration is online through this website. Paddles must be USA Pickleball or UPA approved.
The registration fee is $65 for one event, $15 for each additional doubles or mixed doubles event and $25 for each additional singles or skinny singles event.
A non-refundable PickleballBrackets.com software use fee of $5.00 for one event or $10.00 for more than one event will be charged in addition to the tournament registration fee.
There is a maximum capacity of 405 players for the tournament. Registration will automatically close when that number is reached.
